Jessica and Gilles’s love story spans years, starting with their families’ close bond. After a special proposal in Mexico, Jessica chose our LONDON gown for their winery wedding in Valle de Guadalupe Mexico, loving its sexy side opening and unique sleeves. Her advice to future brides: “Enjoy every moment—it goes so fast!”

How did you meet?

Our story begins before we were even born… My husband’s father was visiting CA in hopes of moving his family here from Mexico. When visiting, his father met my uncle and they became quick friends. My uncle shared his story with my grandfather who offered to help his family with their move by renting out a room in his house. When his family moved to CA, my husband was 3 and they quickly became part of our family attending every holiday and birthday party. My husband was at my first birthday! Our families grew a part when each kid became busy with sports and extracurricular activities but reconnected when we reached middle school and high school. My husband and I were always cordial until 2019… We all went out for a birthday as friends… and now we are married!

Who proposed and how?

Gilles proposed in Sayulita, Mexico on a trip before I began my first adult job after finishing grad school. We had an amazing airbnb with a balcony that overlooked the jungle and ocean. It was so special because it was just the two of us in a country that means so much to us.

How was your experience?

LONDON! It was everything and more. I wore it without the sleeves and can’t wait to wear it again with the sleeves for our church wedding.

I found it at LUV bridal. It wasn’t a choice I initially picked but the worker brought it from the back and said I had to try it on and it was perfect.

I loved that it was sexy with the side opening but also had the option to cover as much or as little as I wanted. I lovedddd the sleeves and wish I had worn them on my wedding day but it was so hot. I think they are so different and theres something so powerful about them. The silhouette made me feel so beautiful and that is all a bride wants on her day. Out of 1-5 stars, I rate the dress a 10!

Tell us about your wedding.

We got married on a winery in the Valle de Guadalupe. The Valle is a special place to us and we knew we wanted to get married there for the food, people, and wine! The venue spoke for itself and we wanted its beauty to be highlighted which is was with the different oak trees that are throughout the property.
