Madeline wore our LONDON wedding gown gown for her wedding at Sanctuary Cove Chapel, paired with soft blooms and black velvet suits. Her love story with Billy began at her salon, and his surprise helicopter proposal over the Great Barrier Reef was unforgettable. Read their love story below!
How did you meet?
I first met Billy when he came into my hair salon for a haircut… he fell into my chair!
Who proposed and how?
Billy booked a weekend away in Cairns. Even though it was raining that weekend and I wanted to cancel, he said the hotel was non refundable… So we went and Saturday morning he pretended we were going to a bottomless brunch so I got dressed up. Then, he surprised me with a helicopter ride over the Great Barrier Reef! He had it planned with the company and they turned the helicopter off so we could get photos. The lady was actually recording and Billy got down on one knee and asked me to make him the happiest man in the world. And then we went for a flight over the Great barrier Reef!
Which Jeune gown did you fall in love with?
How was your experience?
I found the London gown in Townsville at Luv bridal. My mum actually spotted it as we were walking out, I had already chosen another dress and then the dress caught her eye. I came back to try it on and my mum and nanny’s face lit up like Christmas trees and said that’s the one!

Tell us about your wedding.
We had our wedding at sanctuary Cove chapel hope Island. I went for a very soft timeless style – I chose white and soft pink for my bouquets and black velvet suits for the boys, and matching oyster dresses for my girls!
What was your favourite moment from the big day?
My favourite moment was walking into the chapel seeing my fiance’s reaction.
What advice would you share with future Jeune brides ?
Be careful if your walking on pavements to avoid the dress getting caught.
